Trust God Completely

What’s Next God?  Learn to laugh at yourself more freely. Don’t take yourself or your circumstances so seriously.  Relax and know that I am God and I am with you.  When we desire God’s will above all else, life becomes much less threatening.

No matter what the circumstances are in my life, I love to be around people who laugh; I come home feeling better or at least a LOT lighter.  NIV Proverbs 17:22  “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

What’s Next God?  God chose us before the foundation of the world to walk with him along paths uniquely designed just for us.   NIV Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declared the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  As long as God, who knows the future, provides our agenda and goes with us as we fulfill his mission, we can have endless hope, ALWAYS!  I remember when I felt like I had to be a people-pleaser and I believe it came from something my mother used to say, “You can do anything you want to do if you want to do it bad enough.”  So I was truly never happy inside because I just knew that I was not going to live up to someone else’s expectations!  She made this comment to encourage me, but I took it as if I had to do everything right…If only I tried harder.

What’s Next God?  “We are God’s workmanship” implies that He is not done working on us.  Don’t compare yourself to other people. Learn to be happy with who God made you be.  Eddie Rickenbacker said, “If you think about disaster, you will get it.  Brood about death and you hasten your demise.  Think positively and masterfully, with confidence and faith, and life becomes more secure, more fought with action, richer in achievement and experience.”  You don’t have to live a life of guilt and condemnation any longer.  You can dare to be happy with who you are right now and know God is not finished with you in his yard of workmanship.

I once heard a story about Michael Angelo when he was asked to carve a sculpture for a town square in Italy.  He began looking for a stone that was worthy to become such an honorable sculpture.  As he looked and looked for the stone, he was taken to an old graveyard and there in the weeds, a gray ugly stone with moss all over it, but it was perfect in his eyes.  Day after day, month after month, he chiseled away at that stone. The town’s people were so curious, what on earth could he be doing with such an ugly stone? Then one day he unveiled his masterpiece and there it was a sculpture of KING DAVID! The town’s people were so pleased and amazed, they asked, “How could you see King David in this stone?” He answered,”it was there all the time.”

What’s Next God?  We are all much like that stone and God is saying, relax and let me lead you through this life. Jesus was the stone the builder rejected He understands rejection. The bottom line us none of us want to be rejected we might call ourselves people pleaser, but the root to that is not wanting to be rejected.  God’s Love says, “I know what is steeped deep inside of you” and I will never leave you, nor forsake you. I am whatever you have need of, let me show you my way for you this day. I will guide you continually, so you can enjoy me and my presence in the present.

What’s Next God?   We are not alone in our struggles.  There are people all around the world encountering similar struggles.  Each of us wants to be accepted. God doesn’t scream at us or push us the way He wants us to go.  He leads us, like a gentle Shepherd, inviting us to follow Him to greener pastures.  He will direct our paths NIV Proverbs 3:6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We must trust Him completely on every choice we make, then He will guide you because you will be working to accomplish His purpose. Henry Van Dyke said;  Happiness is inward, and not outward, and so it does not depend on what we have, but on what we are. Philippians 1:6 NIV He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Trade your ashes for beauty!
